CADS 5770 project 2: auburn tartan plaid design and application!!! this project was so awesome! getting to share the reasons i love auburn through design was one of my favorite parts of this project!💝💻🏈🍋🪩

using adobe illustrator has been a huge learning curve because i am not the best with technology, but i’m growing to love it! getting out of my comfort zone in my classes is challenging but always so rewarding!!! WAR EAGLE🤭🦅

actually the best experience in the world, i have always loved going to london, but have never gotten the opportunity to meet the amazing designers who live there.🚇🪡 inspiration is so apparent there and it was definitely one of my favorite trips yet! can’t wait to visit again soon!💂🏽

such a bitter sweet realization that this semester is over! this class has pushed me but it has been so rewarding. i chose 3 out of the 9 menswear looks that i designed for this project. i am super proud of my work and can not wait to see what’s in store for my classes next semester!

my love for jewelry is obvious, but some of you might not know why i wear an abundance of it. i have always worn a ton of jewelry but as i’ve gotten older each piece is now personal and holds a meaning to me! many of the pieces i wear were my great grandmothers that were passed down to me, others represent milestones in my life or things that i love, and some i have purchased on exciting vacations!

i wear a cross necklace everyday as a reminder that my Lord is always with me, LV earrings that my parents bought while we were in italy for my birthday, a Tiffany’s necklace that my family gifted me on my senior trip in new york🚕, LV bracelet from my sweet momma for my grad party, diamond ring that my parents gave me the day of graduation from high school🎓, turquoise ring from a fun trip to colorado⛰️, and a pool ball ring because i love to play pool and it happens to have my favorite color and my favorite number on it! if i went through every piece that i wear and why then this post would be never ending, but let this serve as an example that jewelry is an amazing form of self expression and a beautiful reminder of the life that you have lived already! i will cherish every single one of my pieces until they are passed down in my own family one day!

forgot to post this sooner but this class has been insane. i draw for at least 5 hours a day and it does not come naturally for me. but anything worth doing is hard. and let me tell y’all, this is hard work but SO rewarding.🎨 i’ll be sharing my design journals soon that include this full collection of 12 looks, more about the inspiration behind it, and the creative process. i know this project might look similar to some i’ve done in the past but as a designer personal style is everything and this is a perfect representation of mine! hope y’all love it as much as i do!🦋

vintage patterns are one of my absolute favorite things and a place that i draw a TON of inspiration from for my designs. the quality and silhouettes of older garments are unmatched. with that being said if you know me then you know how much i LOVE to make collages.✂️ you also probably know how obsessed i am with interior design and making my apartment a perfect representation of me.👛💐 i made these out of sewing patterns to go in my room and i could not be happier with the way they turned out!!🧵🌈👡🎀🪻💄
