This custom look was created for a client attending a Memorial Day festival. She was inspired by a pair of chaps attached to shorts in one of the reference photos she shared, and I reimagined that idea into a design that suited her style. One of my favorite aspects of this project was repurposing existing materials rather than purchasing anything new. I cropped a vintage vest and personalized it by adding her name to the back. For the bottoms, I combined and reconstructed multiple pairs of pants to create the chap-and-shorts silhouette. I love how this project showcases my ability to transform inspiration into a one-of-a-kind, sustainable design.
